Our Trip Up North - Part 2

We spent the majority of our time up north in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan visiting Tanner's Grandparents. Its beautiful up there, lots and lots of trees! While we were there, we got to tour an iron mine. It would've been really fun and neat, except Sadie bawled the entire time and was so ornery! She hadn't been feeling well the first several days of our trip and this was just one more last straw for her! Part of it was that we had to wear slickers and helmets. Sadie's slicker was way to big for her, so it was confining, and they didn't have a helmet small enough for her, so she just had to wear the hood of her slicker, which was also too big! I felt really bad for the tour guide and the other couple that was on the tour, because once we were inside the mine, there was no escape from her crying and it just seemed louder! But once we got out of the mine, we let her run around outside for a bit, and she perked right up! She slid down a big pile of rocks, and played in a water puddle, and drank from the water fountain! If nothing else it was a great photo opportunity!

Sadie - all ready to go into the mine. The
harness is ours - to keep her from running off!

Tanner, Sadie, and Me - riding the little train into the mine

Sadie was semi-happy to walk for a minute
before she started crying again!

Sadie - happy as can be to play in a puddle outside

Drinking from the water bubbler!

Eww...Gross! I didn't know she did this until I saw the picture!

More stuff to come about our trip up north!
