Our Trip to Michigan

At the beginning of May we went to Michigan to see Tanner's parents. It was a long day of traveling there, and another long one traveling back! We drove to Phoenix the day before and stayed the night with my brother John's family. Then the next day we flew to Milwaukee, and then had to drive five hours (through a rainstorm) to Michigan's upper Peninsula, where they live. But we made it without too many problems. Tanner's parents both had the entire week off of work, so we got to spend lots of fun time with them. Sadie loved getting to know her Grandma and Grandpa Branham again, and followed them everywhere! We did a few touristy things, and saw lots of beautiful country! And we really enjoyed the cooler weather. Actually it was kind of weird - it was kind of cool here when we left, so it was warmer in Michigan than it was in Arizona. But by the time we left it had cooled off significantly and had actually snowed! But it was nice and we enjoyed it! Our trip was lots of fun and we are bummed that we won't get to see them again for a long time. Anyway, here are a few pictures of our trip! (some of these are courtesy of Grandpa Branham, thanks!)

I did it!

We went to Eagle River, WI to look around. It was cold
and we weren't very well prepared for it!

We found a neat little toy store. Sadie spent pretty much the entire time at
this little table where they had a bunch of wind up toys. She loved them!

Super Bunny

Sadie really likes the PBS show Max and Ruby. Its about two bunnies that are brother and sister. Max is the little brother and is always into mischief, but usually ends up saving the day at the end. She absolutely loves it - its basically all she'll watch these days. Anyway, in a couple of the episodes, Max puts a cape on and pretends to be Super Bunny, be a hero, save the day, etc. So now Sadie likes to pretend she's Super Bunny. She'll bring me a blanket to tie around her shoulders, and she runs around the house with her finger pointed way up in the air, saying "Super Bunny to the rescue!". I eventually made her an actual cape to wear, but the silly girl still prefers a blanket for her cape. Its really cute though. If she has a friend over, sometimes she tries to make them wear a cape and be Super Bunny's sidekick Zoom Zoom. Its funny. And for awhile I could fool her into doing things for me by asking Super Bunny for help - like telling her I needed Super Bunny's help to pick up all the toys. But that didn't really work for very long! :) Anyway, here are a few pictures of our little Super Bunny!

Super Bunny!

Here's the cape I made for her.

I figured the S could be for Super Bunny, or Sadie,
when she grows tired of being a super hero!

Our Little Helper

Lately, Sadie has loved to help me - with anything! She says "Sadie help!". She especially loves to help me in the kitchen - cooking or doing dishes. Here's a few cute pics of her helping me cook!

She likes wearing her apron when she helps me cook!

Mmm... there's nothing like licking peanut butter
cookie dough straight from the beaters!

Gotta get it all!

Popsicles

So, Sadie's new favorite treat is popsicles. She calls them sicle - bee's (kind of popsicle backwards). She's gotten really good at eating them without making much of a mess - mostly because she just eats them really fast. Last week we watched her friend Kale for a few hours and they played in the pool and ate popsicles and had a blast! Here's some video of the two of them eating their popsicles! They are so darn cute!

Isn't she the cutest thing?

Mmm...savoring the cool flavor of those popsicles! So Yummy!

Easter

Okay, so I know this is super old by now, but I just thought I'd share some cute pictures from the Easter egg hunt we went to at a friends house. Sadie had a blast, even though she wasn't feeling the greatest, and she was a total pro and finding all those eggs! It was fun!

Are there any more?

Camping Trip

Here are some pictures from the camping trip we took a while back. We just had one night, so we found a place close to home and had a great time! There were no other people around, so it was so quiet and calm, it was great! Sadie loved it, but was kind of not feeling well at the same time, so she did her share of fussing and whining and not sleeping at night. But she's excited to do it again and hopefully we'll be able to go again soon before it gets too hot!

Tanner setting up our tent. Notice there were actually trees in our
campground! That's kind of amazing here in Yuma!

Sadie had a ball playing in the dirt and finding sticks to poke things with!

She got kind of bored after awhile.

Katie and Sadie. I bet you can't tell that Sadie's been eating
chocolate! And she loved these little light sticks!

We're having a....

BOY!!!

We found out for sure at my ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and we're really excited! Everything is going well in the pregnancy and he's growing really well, so we're really happy! And I'm over the morning sickness stuff too, so that's wonderful! And here's my first belly picture - sorry its a little blurry. I'm almost 20 weeks along now, and am lots bigger than I was with Sadie at this point, so I feel huge, but I guess I'm not really. Anyway, we'll keep you posted!

Our New Truck

So, Tanner traded in his motorcycle for a new truck (well, new to us). Its a Ford Explorer Sport-Trac. I can't remember what year it is. He still misses his motorcycle, but is so happy to finally have something to haul things in, and already the air conditioning has been nice to have for his rides to work! We all fit in it, it has a full backseat. So yeah, we really like it so far, hopefully it will be a good little truck for us! Anyway, here's some pictures of it!

Bouncy Bouncy

Sadie loves to bounce on things! Like the couch, a bed, anything she can bounce on! Its cute, she usually doesn't just say bouncy bouncy when she jumps, she says bouncy ball, bouncy ball, like its one word. She's funny! Anyway, here's a cute little video of Sadie jumping on the couch!

Sweet Sadie

Here's some miscellaneous pictures of our cute little Sadie from the last month or two. She's growing so much and learning new words every day, its amazing! Enjoy!

Our Sweetheart

Totally into her Curious George book. She takes after her mom!

Taking her baby for a walk around the house. She's such a good little mommy.

She's figured out how to get what she wants on the counter. She also figured out she can stand a lot higher up if she tips her shopping cart over sideways and stands on it! Silly girl!

Here's our little techie-girl! She loves to play with phones and be on the computer!

Our Cutie-Pie! Look at that sweet smile!

I'm back!

I know, I know, its been forever since I posted anything. This morning sickness stuff has not been fun, but hopefully I'll start to get over it soon! Other than that we are all doing good, Sadie is growing like a weed, and learning new things so fast! Its so much fun to watch her. And she's been such a good girl lately, so patient with me when I just want to lay on the couch all day! She's a real sweetheart and I'm so grateful for her. Anyway, here are a few videos of her playing. These were from January, I think, so they're kinda old, but still cute. Enjoy! And hopefully I'll get a few more posts up in the next week or so!

Our Big News

We are expecting again! I haven't been to the doctor yet, but I think I'm around 8 weeks along, so the new baby should be due sometime in the last half of September. We are really excited! So far I'm doing well except the morning sickness (actually all-day sickness) is really setting in, so we all can't wait for the next couple of months to be over! Anyway, just thought we'd share the news!

A Quick Trip

We took a quick trip to Flagstaff last weekend. Tanner had seen on the news that there were some big snowstorms moving in up there and was dying to get out of Yuma and go see the snow for a couple days. So we decided to go on the spur of the moment. It was really fun. Its about a five hour drive from Yuma, but it really didn't seem like it took that long. Sadie was such a good traveler, except she got carsick and threw up all over on the way up. It wasn't too bad though, and we all got over it. About 30 minutes out of Flagstaff, we hit a snowstorm and couldn't see much, so Tanner was loving it! Sadie was really excited to see the snow too. She enjoyed getting out in it and throwing it around. We stayed in a hotel that had a pool and hot tub, and she loved swimming too. It was really cute to see her getting so excited about the water. Anyway, we just stayed the night and enjoyed the snow and the scenery, then headed home. Most of the way home we drove in a huge rainstorm, another rarity for us, so that was kind of fun. It was really nice to get out of town, even for just a night. It really felt like a vacation, and will definitely be a favorite family memory for all of us! Here are a few pictures of our fun:

Sadie takes after her daddy and just loves the snow!

Sadie in the hot tub - she loved all the bubbles!

Our car was covered in snow by the morning.

Our Very Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas - our first with only our family. Sadie got into it all a little more this year. On Christmas Eve we went to a Candy Cane Lane here in Yuma and saw all the lights. Sadie loved it and kept saying "See Lights?". On Christmas we opened presents and then just had a relaxing day until it was time to cook dinner. We had some friends over for dinner, and then we all played games. It was a really great day! Anyway, here are a few pictures of our fun!

Sadie really got into opening the presents this year!

Sadie looks so super cute wearing her chef's outfit that she got
from her Uncle Cody and Aunt DuAnne, thanks guys!

Her big present this year was this car, she loves
it, she stayed in it all day!

The aftermath! :)

Here's a cute little video of Sadie opening a
present from Grandma and Grandpa Branham.
