Our Trip Up North - Part 4

One of the fun things we did on our vacation was just visiting family! Sadie got to meet some of her Great-Grandparents for the first time! She warmed up to them pretty quick and I think they couldn't get enough of her! I thought these pictures were pretty cute! So that's the scoop on our first trip this summer, next is a trip to see my family in Missouri! We leave on Thursday night, we are driving to Phoenix and spending the night with my brother John and his family, then Friday we are flying to St. Louis to stay with my parents! We are so excited! I'm sure we'll have lots of pictures to share when we get back!

Sadie with Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Johnson!
They had a blast throwing the ball around with her!

Our Trip Up North - Part 3

While we were up north, we we able to take a couple of days and spent some time outside, just relaxing, enjoying the cooler weather and the green. It was really nice! One day we went to Pentoga Park, where there's a really big lake. Tanner did some fishing, while Sadie and I just walked around, played on the playground, and just hung out. Sadie totally enjoyed it! Another day we walked down a nearby walking/biking trail that was really nice! It was fun! Here are a few pics.

Tanner fishing

Sadie found an acorn!

Sadie loved climbing up on the picnic table
and getting into all of Tanners fishing stuff!

She found a bobber and immediately said "Ball!"

Sadie loved the swings and the slides!

Walking on the Apple Blossom Trail

Playing with rocks, one of Sadie's very favorite things to do!

We found a caterpillar and showed it to Sadie, but she didn't
like it at all - if you can't tell by the look on her face!

Our Trip Up North - Part 2

We spent the majority of our time up north in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan visiting Tanner's Grandparents. Its beautiful up there, lots and lots of trees! While we were there, we got to tour an iron mine. It would've been really fun and neat, except Sadie bawled the entire time and was so ornery! She hadn't been feeling well the first several days of our trip and this was just one more last straw for her! Part of it was that we had to wear slickers and helmets. Sadie's slicker was way to big for her, so it was confining, and they didn't have a helmet small enough for her, so she just had to wear the hood of her slicker, which was also too big! I felt really bad for the tour guide and the other couple that was on the tour, because once we were inside the mine, there was no escape from her crying and it just seemed louder! But once we got out of the mine, we let her run around outside for a bit, and she perked right up! She slid down a big pile of rocks, and played in a water puddle, and drank from the water fountain! If nothing else it was a great photo opportunity!

Sadie - all ready to go into the mine. The
harness is ours - to keep her from running off!

Tanner, Sadie, and Me - riding the little train into the mine

Sadie was semi-happy to walk for a minute
before she started crying again!

Sadie and Grandma Branham as Miners

Sadie - happy as can be to play in a puddle outside

Playing on the big pile of rocks!

Drinking from the water bubbler!

Eww...Gross! I didn't know she did this until I saw the picture!

More stuff to come about our trip up north!

Our Trip Up North - Part 1

So we're back from our trip up north to visit Tanner's parents! We flew from Yuma to Milwaukee, with a stopover in Phoenix. Sadie did so so so good on the flights, especially since she had gotten up at 4:40am and didn't take a nap until we got to Milwaukee! We are so proud of her! We went and stayed at Tanner's parent's house in Illinois for the first two days and I was able to visit with my sister, Tamera, and her family. It was so great to see them, it had been almost a year! The kids are growing so much, and Sadie had an absolute blast playing with them! It was lots of fun and even though it was a short amount of time, I'm so grateful we had it! Here are a few pics!

Henrik, Sadie, Tallia, and Will playing outside. Sadie
LOVED the swing! And she (and I) loved the beautiful
weather and the green green green!

Grant - he's growing so much! His feet are as big as mine!

Tallia and Sadie - Talli was such a good cousin to
Sadie while we were there; she played and played
with her and made her laugh so much!

Will - the ham of the family. The only pictures
I got of him look like this!

Henrik - Such a sweetheart! He made sure Sadie
was safe. He kept telling her "no no, don't
touch that, you will choke on that" even if
it was way too big for her to choke on!

Little AnnieLynn. She wasn't too sure about us until the last night,
but she sure was cute! Sadie loved her walker. She saw AnnieLynn
havingsnacks while she was in her walker, then later, I gave Sadie
some ofthe same snacks, so she thought she had to eat them in the
walkertoo! Sadie looked so funny moving around in that walker that
she was way too big for!

Sadie all ready to go to school. Tallia dressed her up
and Sadie thought she was so cool!

Here's a little video of Sadie playing with Henrik and Tallia! Enjoy!
I will continue to post more about our trip up north next time!

Jabbering

Here's another video of Sadie singing and talking, and even dancing a little bit. Its from a couple of weeks ago. She does it ALL day long now! Its so cute though, I never get tired of hearing it! And, as you'll see in the video, she was having a ball walking around with the laundry basket on her head! She' s such a cutie! This whole last week she's been teething or something, but its made her so so so fussy! Today was our first mostly normal day and it was so nice! I kind of forgot how good of a kid she really is! And how pleasant she is to play with when she doesn't have a nasty, runny nose! :) She's our angel and we can't wait for some of you to see her this weekend!

Mmm... Ice Cream

Sadie had ice cream the other day and I got it on video! It was so cute, the first several bites she kept going "Mmm.... Mmmm.... Mmmm" She loved it! But as you can see - she made a big mess!

Dancing

Here's a cute little video of Sadie dancing! She doesn't do it as much as she used to, but its still as cute as ever! She's getting so big, I was watching some of her videos from earlier in the year and even just in the last couple of months she has changed so much! She's not our little baby anymore! :( Its fun to watch her grow and learn though - she's such a funny girl! Anyway, I'm getting pretty bad at posting on here, sorry - Sadie keeps me busy and gets into everything when I'm on the computer. We are all doing good though. Getting sick of hot Yuma and totally looking forward to our vacations. We go to visit Tanner's parents in a couple of weeks and then a week or so after that we get to go see my parents! We haven't had a real family vacation in so long - we are really excited to get away and relax and enjoy our time off with family! We hope to see as many of you as we can, but we'll miss those of you we aren't able to see!

Our Little Rascal!

Sadie has learned to climb up on the table! Ahhh! She finally figured it out the other day and I could barely keep her off it after that! She fell off the chair at least twice, but she kept at it! I think she has forgotten about it since that day, because she hasn't done it since, but I'm sure she'll remember one of these days. Here are a few pics of our little rascal. I also included another photo at the bottom for some extra entertainment :) Enjoy!

Thinking about climbing all the way up...

... And there she goes!

This picture is after she went swimming one day
and I hadn't gotten her clothes back on her yet!
She's so funny! :)

Little Monkey

This is what Sadie has been up to lately...

She's starting to climb all over everything! She can't quite get up on our couches yet, because they are bigger ones, but we went to a friends house today, and she was all over their furniture! She's become our little monkey!

Funny!

Here's a funny picture of Sadie! Tanner was taking her dress off and it got stuck on her head and she thought it was silly! Sorry we haven't posted much lately, things are just the same old, same old here! Have fun!

Mud Puddles

We had a rainstorm last week - yes, can you believe it? The first one we've had since November or December! So far I hadn't really missed rain, but I was really starting to long for it! When it started raining, we opened all the windows and doors and just watched it! There were little kids playing out in the street getting all wet - it was fun. It was a little cool out so I didn't let Sadie go play in it. But she had fun watching it from the door way and for some reason she kept saying "Oh No!". It was cute. Anyway, it created a lake in our backyard and there was still a huge puddle there a couple days later, when it warmed up a bit, so I stripped Sadie down and let her have at it! She had a ball, but didn't actually get very dirty. We just have super fine gravel in our backyard, so there isn't really any dirt to make it muddy. We really like our backyard at this house though, because it lots bigger than our last one and Sadie has room to run around, which she totally takes advantage of! Anyway, here a couple videos I took of her having fun!

Stomping through the water!

She recently learned how to kick a ball
around, like in soccer, and she loves to do it now!

Our Pretty Princess

Sadie loves to wear her necklaces! She takes them on and off and on and off. She plays with them all day long! When she puts them on she says Wow Wow! She likes them so much that she gets mad if I take them off of her to do things like eat a meal, take a bath, or get ready for bed! Tanner just let her wear them in the bathtub one day and she thought she was the coolest! Just one more reason to love our pretty little princess!

New Chair

We got Sadie a little chair of her very own! She loves it and hauls it around the house and sits in it to read books or watch tv or eat her snacks! She's so cute with it that I couldn't resist posting these pictures of her sitting in it!

Messy Face

This is what you get when you mix a baby with spaghetti and oreos! (they were the springtime oreos - that's why there's a touch of yellow!) She sure was enjoying it!

Four Wheelin'

We got Sadie a little four-wheeler to ride around on. Her little friend Kale has one just like it and she's always loved it! We wanted to get something a little more girly for her, but out of all the available options at the store, this one suited her best! She absolutely loves it, when we brought it home we couldn't get her off of it all evening long! She loves to push the buttons and dance to the little song it sings! She's still pretty slow when it actually comes to actually going somewhere on it, she mostly goes backwards, but she's learning!

A Few Random Videos...

Here are a few random videos that I've taken since we've moved into our new house. I haven't posted much in the last couple of weeks so they've kinda been piling up. Sadie has been being so cute for the camera lately, I feel like I'm constantly taking pictures or videos of her. She just growing so big and doing new things - its so much fun! Anyway, hope you all enjoy our silly little girl!

Spinning Sadie
She likes to spin in circles now, she does it all the time, and even sings while she does it! She falls down a couple times in this video, but she was just doing it to be silly, she usually doesn't.

Pretty Sadie
I found these cute little girl bracelets for $1 the other day and couldn't resist getting them for Sadie. She loved putting them on and taking them off. And then bending and breaking them because they are so cheap, but they were fun while they lasted!

Sadie Cleaning
We got this little vacuum for Sadie with Christmas money and she's finally figured out how to move it back and forth like we do with the real thing! What a smartie!

Silly Sadie
Here's just a fun one that shows how much she chatters. She loves to talk and tell you things! She's such a fun little girl - we love her lots and lots!

Our New House!

So, we got all moved in to our new house! We really like it so far, but the last place that we lived was just starting to really feel like home, so now we have to get used to a new place all over again! Here are a few pictures of it!

Swimming Sadie

We got Sadie a little kiddie pool last week! Its been getting warm enough to swim here - crazy! She had a blast splashing around and she looks so funny with her hair like that! Its like that because I took her pigtails out! Enjoy!

Silly Sadie

Sadie's so funny. She loves to put things over her head so she can't see and walk around. Anything she can find: towels, blankets, articles of clothing. She puts them on her head, then we pretend we can't find her. She'll walk around the room for awhile, before she pulls it off and does it all over again. She's really good at feeling her way around. You can tell when she's not sure anymore where she is because she feels around a lot to try and figure out where she's at. She'll walk all over the house like this - from room to room. She's so silly!
